Aid from Norway: Ambulance Buses for Ukraine
Yesterday, Oslo announced that they would be donating 5 military “Ambulance Buses” to Ukraine, under the NATO Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC).
Ambulance Buses Explained
Now if you don’t know what an “Ambulance Bus” is, it’s basically a large ambulance that uses a bus body. This not only allows them to carry more casualties, but also allows medics on board to conduct medical procedures while in transit, even surgeries if needed.
Support from Various Countries and Entities
It must be pointed out that ever since Russia’s invasion, numerous countries and private entities have donated numerous emergency vehicles (Ambulances/Fire Trucks) and equipment to Ukraine. All of which have been welcomed by Ukrainian first responders who have been on the front line trying to help those who had been caught in the crossfire.
Preparation for Harsh Winter
With a harsh winter expected this year, the addition of these buses could enhance Ukraine’s ability to provide medical services to both military personnel and civilians alike.
