Breaking News: Ukrainian Forces Enter City of Kherson
Ukrainian forces have entered the city of Kherson, just as Russian officials announced they have “successfully” evacuated their troops to the eastern banks of the Dnipro River.
Ukrainian Forces Welcomed by Cheering Crowds
Though reports are still coming in, videos are starting to flood many social media platforms showing Ukrainian units being welcomed by cheering crowds. Ukrainian flags are now being flown on several buildings that had once been occupied by the Russian-installed regional government.
Potential for Covert Attacks
While the loss of the city has the potential to be another major blow to Moscow, the Ukrainian government still believes there may be a significant number of Russian troops who have gone into hiding and might conduct covert attacks behind Ukrainian lines.
