Gaza Update
The IDF has advanced into the center of Khan Yunis. Their advance has followed two main routes, one from the northeast and one from the east.
Israel has also made further gains in the south of Gaza City and advanced into the Jabalia camp.
IDF Operations in Khan Younis
IDF’s 98th Division continues to advance in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, which it says is a “main Hamas stronghold.” Troops of the 7th Armored Brigade directed several Israeli Air Force drones to carry out strikes against Hamas operatives in the Khan Younis area. Troops of the Givati Infantry Brigade, 55th Reserve Paratroopers Brigade, and Kiryati Reserve Armored Brigade are surrounding Khan Younis and carrying out “targeted raids” against Hamas sites.
Rocket Barrage and Escalation Concerns
On the other hand, Tel Aviv received a heavy barrage of rockets. The IDF seems to be having small exchanges with Hezbollah; however, nothing points toward an escalation.
Control Over Northern Gaza and Advances in the South
The IDF seems to be having a tightened grip over northern Gaza and has been making gradual advances in the South. The intent is clear. The occupation of southern Gaza seems to be the next objective.
We are keeping a close watch on the matter and will come up with the next update.
