Gaza Update
Current IDF Advances
The IDF has advanced deeper into the city from the South West direction. Their advances were traced up to the Indonesian hospital and the edges of Jabalaya Camp.
The IAF seems to have intensified its airstrikes in the Southern Gaza Strip. Three buildings were targeted in Khan Younis. This seems to be a prelude to probable future ground operations in Southern Gaza, as we claimed in our last post.
IAF and Hezbollah Conflict
IAF targeted Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. The artillery worked intensively as well. According to initial estimates, between 30 and 50 rockets were fired from Lebanon at northern Israel, the largest barrage since the beginning of the fighting.
Ceasefire and Potential Prisoner Exchange
As per Al Jazeera, a deal was reportedly made as follows: 300 Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for 100 hostages. Al Jazeera quoted Aryeh Deri for the claim.
Per yesterday, a ceasefire has been accepted by the Israeli cabinet to last at least four days, allowing for the gradual release of around 50 of the hostages held by Hamas.
The agreement will likely come into effect in 24 hours.
We are keeping a close watch and will provide timely updates.
