Gaza Update
High-intensity clashes have taken place between the IDF and Hamas in the past 24 hours, resulting in considerable advances for the former in both the Northern and the Southern directions. The IDF has managed to advance near the high-density buildings of Al Shati camp towards the east of the Shifa hospital.
Further advances from the South bring the hospital within 700 meters of being surrounded, if it hasn’t been already.
Strategic Movements and Developments
In our last post, we pointed out the possible pincer movement along the coast, which seems to have materialized effectively, as depicted on the map.
According to Reuters, Mossad and CIA chief met with the Qatari leadership in Doha. Following the Qatar meeting, the plane that took the Mossad chief landed back in Israel and immediately continued to Cairo. At that same time, Hamas chiefs Khaled Mashal and Ismail Haniyeh arrived in Cairo. It appears to be a possible series of talks for the negotiations of hostages.
