Meet the T-15 “Armata” Infantry Fighting Vehicle

The T-15’s “little” brother.

Here is a fact most people are not aware of, but the T-14 is actually a modular design and there are an entire family of vehicles which are based around Russia’s next generation of Tank.

The Modular Design of the T-14 Series

One of these being the T-15 Heavy Infantry Fighting Vehicle (HIFV), which was developed alongside the T-14. Both vehicles are part of the Armata Universal Combat Platform, basically using the same chassis for multiple vehicles.

Now on paper, it looks impressive, as the modular design means it could be fitted with different turrets depending on what role is needed. It can also carry 8 fully armed soldiers and has a top speed of 43 miles per hour. But unfortunately for the T-15, it too uses the A-85-3A diesel engine. Which if you read my last post on the T-14, you would understand why that is a negative.

I like to focus on the lesser known events in military history, as well as highlight countries and regions you normally don't hear about often. So i hope i am able to inform you correctly and make you a little more aware of the world around you.
