Polish Interest in the KF-21 Boramae
Very Interesting.
Recently reports have begun to surface that the Polish Government is starting to eye the Korean made KF-21 Boramae as another addition to the Polish Air Force.
This comes as the Polish Defense industry has begun to strengthen its ties with their Korean counterparts. The Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa has already signed a number of agreements to manufacture Korean-designed equipment in Poland for the Polish Armed Forces. Now it seems that the Poles are starting to show an interest in the KF-21, as part of their modernization program, which could see the Boramae being assembled in Poland if an agreement is reached.
Potential for Localization
Now, this is not outside the realm of possibility, as Warsaw has already agreed on the localization of the FA-50PL light fighter production. After signing a deal to acquire just under 50 units of the light fighter for the Polish Air Force. But I must point out that a final decision has yet to be made by the Polish MoD whether to integrate the KF-21 into the Air Force.
