FSB and OMON Testing
The Punisher was tested by the FSB and OMON in anti-terror operations. It appeared in a couple of promotion videos around 2013-2014 and has taken part in at least one real operation.
Vehicle Specifications and Capabilities
Not much is known about the vehicle apart from the fact that the Punisher can carry 10 armed troops, is armoured to withstand impact from (at least) 7.62mm projectiles, and comes with a V-shaped hull to protect its passengers against mines and IEDs.
Power and Fuel Consumption
To compensate for the weight of the armour, ZiL mounted an 8-cylinder 730BHP race engine borrowed from the Dakar Rally Kamaz-4911 truck. That sounds like a good idea until you realize this means a fuel consumption of 100l per 100km or 2.8 imperial MPG!
