Gaza Update

The IDF has continued progressing into the center of Khan Yunis, executing a pincer movement. Israel has also made a new crossing along the edge of the Egyptian border.

In the north, IDF continues to gradually push deeper into Gaza City and Jabalia.

Rocket Attacks and Retaliations

Apparently, IDF alleged that Hamas has fired 116 rockets from the al-Mawasi “humanitarian zone” in southern Gaza at Israel.

Against Lebanon, the IDF continued to attack targets inside its territory. As per the IDF, several rockets were fired from its territory, which resulted in retaliatory strikes.

Casualties and Operations

9 Israeli soldiers were KIA in Gaza’s Shejaiya neighborhood.

IDF’s Givati Infantry Brigade is operating in southern Gaza’s Bani Suheila, on the outskirts of Khan Younis. It says the troops have killed numerous Hamas operatives in the fighting.

Incidents of Friendly Fire

Glaring incidents of friendly fire from IDF’s official data; 20 were killed by so-called friendly fire and other accidents.

Thirteen of the soldiers were killed by friendly fire due to mistaken identification, including in airstrikes, tank fire, and gunfire.

One soldier was killed by gunfire that was unintended to hit them, and another two were killed by accidental misfires.

Two soldiers were killed in incidents involving armored vehicles running over troops. Two soldiers were killed by shrapnel from explosives intentionally set off by Israeli forces.
